Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on August 20th, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive charming characters. Adams was one of seven siblings who grew up when she was a kid in Colorado's Castle Rock. Adams was born when her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. At the beginning of 1990, Adams started dancing and performing professionally at Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined the regional theater in Minnesota which was where she got her first role in a mock documentary film on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Following her debut on screen as a charming but snarky contestant, she relocated into Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 until September 1992. Her children included, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. The actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her career in film in the 1940s. The decade following her appearances in many popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
