Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child among four children. The actress was inspired by her parents, a dentist and teacher who both taught her to pursue her interest in acting. This was in contrast her earlier ambition to pursue a career as a primateologist since she adored monkeys. At the age of a young lady, her rise to stardom was swift and ended with initial success. Her career began in earnest in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church in her youth and was raised Catholic. However she is now separating herself from this background. She pursued a modelling career along with her acting career. She is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a obsession and she was recently shown her work in the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Her photography is focused on celebrity, fame and the press that scrutinised her following her fame-making debut in the film Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring herself. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her debut role as the lead in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international recognition due to its success at the box office. The film was also recognized at awards ceremonies across the globe. It is the top-grossing French film made in America. Following this success Tautou starred in many films that ranged from British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's film Un long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
